Fees

No Surprises Act: Psychologists and other health care providers are required by law to give uninsured and self-pay patients a good faith estimate of costs for services that they offer under the No Suprises Act. Please read the following information that outlines cost of services.

Evaluation costs: Evaluations will have a flat fee of $3000 (effective 10/1/2024). A $500 deposit is due at the initial intake appointment and the balance is due when the report is delivered. We accept credit, HSA, and FSA cards.

Insurance: Dr. Holland is currently an in-network provider with Cigna, FirstChoice, and TriCare West, but will be leaving these insurance panels in late 2024 when the practice in Anacortes transitions to Bellevue. All currently scheduled clients will not be affected.

Out-of-network reimbursement: You may be able to use your out-of-network benefits to pay for services. This generally involves families paying out-of-pocket for services, and then Dr. Holland will provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. You will need to contact your insurance company to determine out-of-network coverage, if any.

Please note that testing for learning disorders, including dyslexia, and gifted testing are not covered by insurance. If your primary reason for seeking an evaluation is for learning disabilities/difficulties or gifted/highly capable, then this is not considered a "medically necessary" covered benefit under most insurance plans.

Families should consult with their school district when considering testing for learning disabilities. School districts sometimes consider outside private psychologist evaluations, but have their own school team process, which includes parents, when determining services and accommodations. School districts complete similar testing to determine eligibility for special education services and families may want to consider having testing completed at their school district. Families are encouraged to look at Washington State’s OSPI website to further understand the special education eligibility process.

Therapy fees: The initial intake appointment is $250. Therapy sessions that range from 53-60 minutes are $185 per session.

Consultation fees: A consultation appointment is $250 and does not include a written report. Appointments are approximately 50-90 minutes for a consultation and are billed as an intake appointment.

Supervised Interns: Dr. Holland’s practice sometimes has interns who are supervised by Dr. Holland. An initial intake appointment with an intern is $100 and therapy sessions are $50.
